Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">Greiner&nbsp; introduced resolution 12-22-2 approving pay estimate 3 (final)&nbsp; for the 1st Ave E Overlay project to LL Pelling in the amount of $13,866.66, seconded by Voss. Cost estimation also needed in order to determine budget needs.&nbsp; Further discussion tabled pending estimations of cost and space.&nbsp; T-type swings used at the ball diamond park to be used as the example for space and cost estimations.</p><p class="">&nbsp;</p><p class="">Benches for basketball court</p><p class="">Addition of a bench for each side of the basketball court proposed.&nbsp; Placement discussed, and would be both placed on the east side of the court.&nbsp; Current lead time discussed as likely to be several months.&nbsp; Pricing will be secured in order to allocate funds for order/purchase at the August meeting.</p><p class="">&nbsp;</p><p class="">Walford Fun Days</p><p class="">Self-organized committee members Paula Heber and Melissa Werner present to outline their ideas and possible events and potential business sponsorships for specific events.&nbsp; Several questions were raised and answered regarding budget, sponsor management, invoicing, and utilization of city property for potential events.</p><p class="">&nbsp;</p><p class="">General Equipment/Grounds/Maintenance</p><p class="">More fill dirt required at pickle ball court following the extension work - follow up needed in order to have soil prepared for seeding in the fall.</p><p class="">Knapp Creek Park playground equipment steps are worn and may require re-coating.</p><p class="">Fencing behind small diamond plate is bent up and allows balls to pass through to the bleachers behind- requires follow up.</p><p class="">&nbsp;</p><p class="">Motion to adjourn by Hebert.&nbsp; Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">Ellis moved approval of the past meeting minutes of April 7th, 11th, and 19th, 2022, as posted and published, seconded by Carter. Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">Grimm moved approval of the April 30, 2022 Treasurer Report, seconded by Voss. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">Greiner moved approval of the May Expenditures with Courts Fore Sports deposit, seconded by Ellis. Roll Call: Ayes: Ellis, Greiner, Grimm, Voss. No: Carter.</p><p class="">Linn County Sheriff report. There were 33 calls for service from April 11th, 2022 through May 9th, 2022.</p><p class="">Report placed on file.</p><p class="">A Public Hearing was held at 7:18 p.m., regarding the FY 21/22 Budget Amendment. There were no written or oral objections to the Budget Amendment.</p><p class="">Voss moved to close the Budget Amendment Public Hearing at 7:19 p.m., seconded by Carter.</p><p class="">Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">Greiner introduced Resolution No. 5-22-1 Approval of the FY 21/22 Budget Amendment, seconded by Carter. Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">City Engineer Dave Haugen presented the May engineer report. Report was placed on file.</p><p class="">Grimm introduced Resolution No. 5-22-2 approving Pay Estimate No. 9 for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvement Ultraviolet Disinfection Project in the amount of $14,962.50, seconded by Ellis. Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">Discussion was held regarding the 1st Avenue E overlay project specifications. Council member Carter questioned culvert repair and length of project. Plans will be updated with corrections and additions.</p><p class="">Voss introduced Resolution No. 5-22-3 to Provide for a Notice of Hearing on Proposed Plan, Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Cost for the 1st Avenue E. Overlay Project, seconded by Carter. Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">Carter introduced Resolution No. 5-22-4 approving Veenstra &amp; Kimm Engineer Construction Services Agreement for the 1st Avenue E. HMA Overlay Project in the amount $7,200.00, seconded by Ellis. Roll Call: Unanimous.</p><p class="">City Engineer Dave Haugen was present to submit Engineer report and to answer project questions.</p><p class="">Discussion included request from Contractor for extension with the DNR for UV project. Will be addressed at the March 14th, 2022 meeting.</p><p class="">Carter introduced Resolution No. 2-22-2 Approving Pay Estimate No. 6 for Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvement Ultraviolet Disinfection Project in the amount of $20,295.52, seconded by Greiner.
